Dr. Rajiv Ratn SHAH is an Assistant Professor at IIIT Delhi, India, and the Head of the Department of Human-Centered Design. He is also the Founder and Director of MIDAS lab, where he leads a team of researchers focusing on machine learning, multimedia content processing, natural language processing, image processing, multimodal computing, data science, social media computing, and the internet of things. Dr. SHAH is currently looking for motivated students and interns to work with him in the area of multimedia and social media research. Dr. SHAH completed his PhD in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he worked on leveraging multimodal information in semantics and sentics analysis of user-generated content. He has also worked as a Research Fellow at Singapore Management University (SMU), where he joined the LARC group. Dr. SHAH's expertise includes natural language processing, computer vision, machine learning, deep neural networks, social media computing, and information retrieval. Dr. SHAH has a strong academic background, having obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the National University of Singapore, a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) from Delhi College of Engineering, a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Banaras Hindu University, Banaras. Dr. SHAH's tech stack includes NLP, ML, research scientist, computer vision, information retrieval, image processing, data scientist, and neural networks. With 9.53 years of relevant experience, Dr. SHAH has helped several alumni of MIDAS lab secure offers from top institutes worldwide for their higher studies. Dr. SHAH is passionate about multimedia and social media research and is always looking for talented individuals to join his team at IIIT-Delhi.
